Zoltán Varga

Visiting lecturer

Zoltán Varga graduated in Film Theory and Film History and in Hungarian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities of the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in 2008. In 2012 he received his PhD degree at the Doctoral Program in Film, Media and Contemporary Culture. The title of his thesis is The Question of Genre in the Animated Film. His articles on film have been published in several film journals since 2004 and he was co-editor of the film journal Metropolis from 2005 to 2010. Since 2007 he has been visiting lecturer at the Department of Film Studies of ELTE, and at the Film Studies Department of Szeged University of Sciences. He published a co-author book with Györgyi Vajdovich in 2009 on vampire films, entitled Variants of Vampire Films.
