Assistant professor
Péter Galicza graduated in philosophy and mathematics at the Faculty of Arts of the ELTE University in Budapest in 1973. He worked at the Institute of Education of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1973-75), and between 1975 and 2000 he taught philosophy and film studies at the Technical University of Budapest. He also held courses on film and film analysis at the Film and Theatre University. He participated in setting up the Department of Film Studies at the ELTE University in Budapest and contributed to establishing its curriculum. Currently he teaches film theory and film analysis. His main interests are in the aesthetic and technical tools of analysing films and novels.
