Visiting lecturer
Zoltán Dragon was born in 1975 in Makó, Hungary. He graduated from the University of Szeged (English and American Studies), then from the Open University and the Central European University (in Film Studies). He is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of American Studies, University of Szeged, Hungary. He teaches film theory, contemporary visual culture, and digital theory and culture. He has published two books: The Spectral Body: Aspects of the Cinematic Oeuvre of István Szabó and (as co-author) Encounters of the Filmic Kind: Guidebook to Film Theories. He is also founding editor of AMERICANA – E-Journal of American Studies in Hungary (americanaejournal.hu) and of Filmtudományi Hírmondó (Film Studies Herald) (http://filmologia.posterous.com).
