MIDPOINT: SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
MIDPOINT main training activity is intended for graduating students and young film professionals. It was created to provide support to writers, producers and directors to enable them to constructively participate in the development process. We believe that dramaturgy can be a collaborative art: it is a part of writing that can involve outside input while following the personal goals of the filmmakers.
MIDPOINT also helps to integrate emerging film professionals into the marketplace by facilitating experience in international collaboration and networking opportunities.
The three-month training programme includes 2 residential workshops and 2 on-line sessions. After finishing Workshop 2, all projects are presented to a pitching panel – members of international partner programmes and film institutions, producers and other film professionals – thus increasing the chances for their further development and production.
